Our Website, April 22 – Employers in Russia's Magadan Region can now access state subsidies from the Pension and Social Insurance Fund (PSIF) to support hiring, the regional Employment Center has announced. The initiative is part of the federal "Active Employment Support" program under the national "Human Resources" project, the center's press service reported.
Russia's Magadan Region offers subsidies to employers hiring disabled workers
Under PSIF Order No. 2714 dated December 29, 2024, employers may receive partial reimbursement for wages paid to employees previously registered with the Employment Center. Support is available for the following categories of job seekers with vocational or higher education, or relevant qualifications:
- Combat veterans
- Family members of those killed during the special military operation
- Persons with disabilities
- Former military personnel and their family members
- Individuals released from penal institutions
- Single parents, large families, guardians, and adoptive parents
Wages for hired employees under this program must be no lower than 1.5 times the federal minimum wage, as set by Federal Law No. 82-FZ of June 19, 2000, "On the Minimum Wage."
Subsidies will be disbursed after the first, third, and sixth months of employment, based on employer applications submitted through the "Unified Integrated Social Insurance Information System" (EIIS "Sotsstrakh"). If the hiring target is not met, funds must be returned to the PSIF budget.
Additionally, PSIF Order No. 2712 (December 29, 2024) introduces state support for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to equip workplaces for disabled veterans and individuals with first- or second-group disabilities. Subsidies of up to 200,000 rubles are available to partially cover costs for:
- Purchasing specialized workplace equipment
- Installation and assembly of equipment
- Setting up remote workstations at employees' homes
To qualify, employers must hire disabled workers within 10 days of submitting an application. Success is measured by employing disabled individuals at the new workplaces for at least nine months within a year. If an employee leaves, the employer must fill the vacancy with another disabled worker within 30 days.
