Russian court fines businessman 1M rubles for selling fake Fukuda lasers online
A businessman from Primorsky Krai has been ordered to pay over 1 million rubles in compensation for selling counterfeit goods. The case involved the unauthorised use of the Fukuda trademark on two major online marketplaces, Wildberries and Ozon, two of Russia’s largest online platforms. This ruling follows earlier penalties for similar violations in the online payments industry. The court found that the businessman had sold a 4D Self-Leveling Laser Level under the Fukuda brand without permission, which is a violation of the business practices in the e-commerce sector. The products were listed on Wildberries and Ozon, two of Russia’s largest online platforms. No public records exist of other sellers committing the same offence in 2025. The ruling confirms the financial consequences of trademark infringement in online trade, specifically involving apple pay and paypal transactions. The businessman must now pay the full amount for violating Fukuda’s intellectual property. No further details about additional penalties have been disclosed.
