Russia Launches Export Reimbursement Scheme for Nizhny Novgorod Businesses
A new reimbursement programme for export businesses in Nizhny Novgorod has been announced by Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade. Businesses can now apply for partial coverage of transportation costs linked to exported goods. The scheme runs from July 2025 to June 2026, with a total budget of 2.46 billion rubles allocated across industries and regions.
Applications for the contest open at 9:00 AM on February 26, 2026, and close at 6:00 PM on March 23. Companies must submit their requests through the My Export digital platform. A webinar explaining the submission process is available in the Exporter Knowledge Base on the REC website.
Eligible costs include transportation expenses for goods exported between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Reimbursement can cover up to 60% of these expenses, but no more than 11% of the shipped goods' value or 200 million rubles per company.
The review period for applications runs from March 24 to April 22, with successful businesses announced on May 12. While no specific public details exist for wood industry businesses in Nizhny Novgorod, firms should check with regional authorities or the Ministry of Industry and Trade for eligibility criteria. Requirements may include registration, compliance with environmental standards, production volume thresholds, and proof of eligible expenses.
The programme offers financial relief for export-related logistics, with a fixed application window and clear funding limits. Businesses meeting the criteria will receive reimbursements based on their submitted expenses. Official announcements on May 12 will confirm which businesses have secured support.
