Founded by Arnold Ruckert, a service manager, on September 1, 1974, in a humble 3-room apartment in Neugraben, the company has come a long way. In its first year, the first installer, Hans Flügge, joined the company, and three rented garages were used as a material warehouse. A 'Hanomag' transporter was employed for customer visits, marking the beginning of Ruckert's service journey.
The opening of the Elbtunnel in January 1975 significantly contributed to the company's success. This major infrastructure project required extensive heating and sanitation services, which Ruckert provided effectively. By 1978, the company had moved to new business premises at the Harburger Außenmühle and could fully serve the sanitary and ventilation technology trades.
In 1988, the company moved to its current location, Schmidts Breite 1921 in 107 Hamburg, in its own property. This move marked a significant milestone in Ruckert's growth and expansion. Today, the company employs 89 dedicated individuals, including Andreas Schuhmann, who joined as a young installer in 1987 and has since become a master heating engineer and a certified business manager.
Lars Rückert, a graduate engineer, took over his father's position in the management in 2006, ensuring the company's continued success. Ruckert's promise remains the same as it was 50 years ago: they will come to the rescue in case of an emergency.
Despite being primarily known for its manufacturing of paper and plastic packaging products, Ruckert's history, expansion, and personnel changes are worth highlighting.
