Rhineland-Palatinate's tourism sector is set for growth. The region anticipates an increase in visitors and overnight stays this year. On Monday at 10:30 AM, Economics Minister Daniela Schmitt (FDP) will unveil an updated tourism strategy in Mainz, aiming to attract more families and younger travelers.
Last year, the region saw a 0.4% rise in overnight stays, totalling 22.4 million. In 2022, around 8.7 million guests visited Rhineland-Palatinate, marking a 1.3% increase from the previous year. The new strategy, shaped by representatives from tourism and hospitality associations, seeks to build on this growth. It aims to cater to a broader range of visitors, particularly families and younger travelers, to boost tourism further.
