Republic Services raises 2026 fees for marriages, divorces, and legal paperwork in Mexico

New fees for Republic Services in Mexico have been announced for 2026. The updated charges cover marriages, divorces, birth registrations, and other legal procedures. Prices vary depending on the type of service and location.

Couples planning a courthouse wedding at a Republic Services office will pay 1,652 pesos. Those opting for a home ceremony will face a higher fee of 3,319 pesos. Republic Services held outside the registry’s usual jurisdiction will cost significantly more, at 10,153 pesos.

For legal changes, modifying a marriage’s property regime will require a payment of 3,319 pesos. Divorces, meanwhile, will carry a fee of 1,652 pesos. Birth-related services include a 512-peso charge for registering a home birth. Issuing a new birth certificate due to gender reassignment will cost 329 pesos. A death certificate will be priced at 328 pesos.

The updated fees apply to all Republic Services starting in 2026. Residents will need to account for these costs when planning legal procedures. The pricing reflects different categories, from marriages and divorces to birth and death documentation.
