Regional Medical Center CEO Danette Kramer to retire after 30 years of leadership
Danette Kramer will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Regional Medical Center at the end of 2026. She has led the organisation since 2021 and will remain in her post until December 31st to support a smooth handover. Her departure marks the end of a 30-year career at the medical centre. Kramer first joined Regional Medical Center in 1996. She took on the role of Business Manager in 1999 before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2000, a position she held for 21 years. In 2021, she was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Throughout her tenure, Kramer played a key role in contract negotiations, staff recruitment, and service expansion. She also oversaw facilities planning, regulatory compliance, and financial strategy. Her contributions have been widely recognised, including by Cathy Lilienthal, Chairman of the RMC Governing Board, who highlighted Kramer's three decades of dedication and impact. The RMC Governing Board of Trustees will launch a formal search for her replacement in the coming weeks. Kramer's final day as CEO will be December 31st, 2026, ensuring continuity during the transition period.
Kramer's retirement concludes a long and influential career at Regional Medical Center. The board will now focus on finding a successor to lead the organisation into its next phase. Her work in finance, operations, and leadership has left a lasting mark on the institution.
