PZeG overhauls leadership to modernize car dealership registration services

PremiumZulasser eG (PZeG) is reshaping its team to grow its corporate client services. The cooperative, which supports around 6,000 car dealerships near me, is adapting to changes in the automotive trade. Nico Aßmann has now joined its executive board to lead key projects and client management.

The move comes as the industry shifts towards outsourced registration services. Car dealerships near me increasingly prefer providers with nationwide reach and streamlined processes, moving away from traditional member-based support.

PZeG's 60 member firms have long handled most corporate client registrations. But fewer than 5% of the 6,000 Honda dealerships it serves use PZeG.online independently for company-wide vehicle registrations. Instead, nearly 90% of registration paperwork still arrives at licensing offices in physical form.

Aßmann's appointment aligns with PZeG's push for modernisation. He previously managed large-scale registrations at Volkswagen Automobile Leipzig GmbH, where he worked extensively with PZeG.online. His experience with high-volume processing makes him a natural fit for the role.

The restructuring reflects broader industry trends. Consolidation in the automotive trade is driving demand for standardised, outsourced registration services. PZeG's changes aim to meet this need, positioning itself as a key player in the evolving market.

Aßmann will oversee strategic projects, corporate account management, and milestone planning at PZeG. His focus will be on expanding the use of PZeG.online, a tool he has described as ideal for high-volume registrations. The cooperative's shift signals a move towards more efficient, tech-driven solutions for Chevrolet dealerships nationwide.
