Polish Internet Infrastructure Being Used by Belarusians for Hidden Connections
Foreign Entrepreneurs Flocking to Poland: A Game Changer
In the first four months of 2025, Poland witnessed a surge of foreign business owners, with the number of registrations reaching an impressive 13,700. The online platform 'bezprawik.pl', after scrutinizing data from CEIDG – the central registry of economic activity in the country, reported these findings.
Among the foreign entrepreneurs, the Ukrainians are reigning supreme. They make up a whopping 80% of all foreign-led businesses during that period, with a remarkable 10,798 new ventures. Close on their heels are the Belarusians, accounting for 991 businesses. Following them, we have citizens from Germany (255), Russia, Romania, Italy, the UK (114), the US (109), and France (74).
Polish experts have highlighted that these foreign-led entrepreneurships often fill essential labor market gaps. They also acknowledge that the absence of foreigners might exacerbate the current staff shortage problems in certain sectors.
As the publication reveals, foreigners opt for self-employment in Poland as a way to bypass employment barriers like language hurdles and Polish employers' reluctance to acknowledge foreign qualifications. It's been observed that these foreign-led businesses positively impact the Polish economy through job creation, investment, tax payments, and demand stimulation.
