PNB announces additional 200 million unit investment for Bumiputera investors
Casual Take:
HEY THERE! PNB just dropped 200 million more ASD units for Bumiputera investors yesterday. Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman, the big cheese at PNB, thinks this is a golden opportunity for investors with higher income to make their money grow. He's certain that investing in ASD will provide consistent and decent returns in the long run, given Malaysia's positive economic outlook and improving stock market condition.
PNB has offered ASD units before, and they usually get snapped up pretty quickly. So, Bumiputera investors are encouraged to jump on this chance ASAP.
The new 200 million ASD units added to the existing 3.3 billion, bringing the total to 3.5 billion units, according to Hamad. ASD has been paying out around 6-7 sen per unit in distributed profits since its inception in 2001.
Hamad also mentioned that PNB frequently organizes financial planning education and advice sessions for investors to help them manage their finances and make the most of these opportunities.
Back in the day, during the Amanah Saham 1Malaysia push, Hamad stated that almost 10 million ASD units are now owned by investors, and Sarawak is close to the fifth place with 941,830 accounts, behind Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Sabah. Considering that 700,000 new accounts were generated from Sarawak in the last year alone, it's clear that Sarawak is a pretty active investor in the ASD market.
In 2009, Sarawak investors held around 315.6 million ASD units, or nearly 10% of the total subscriptions by 23,659 residents, according to the data.
So, folks in Sarawak, don't miss out on this chance to invest in funds managed by PNB for potentially higher returns compared to fixed deposits.
- Investors with higher income might find the current real-estate investment opportunity in ASD units, offered by PNB, an excellent way to grow their business finances, given the promising economic outlook and improved stock market conditions in Malaysia.
- Attending financial planning education and advice sessions organized by PNB could be beneficial for investors in Sarawak, as they strive to make the most of ASD investments, which have brought consistent and decent returns since their inception in 2001.
