Pionierstraße Bridge Repairs Near Completion, Reopening Soon
The Pionierstraße bridge over the Scheuereckerbach in an unnamed town has undergone extensive repair works, which are set to be completed on Thursday, 02.10.2025 around 16:00 hours. The total cost of the repairs is approximately 800,000 euros.
The repair works included the installation of new, double-profile transition structures, renewal of sidewalk caps coating, corrosion protection for the railing, repair of longitudinal drainage, concrete repair work on the abutment chambers, renewal of bird flight protection, and application of a new asphalt surface layer up to the intersection with Messestraße. These renovations were also carried out in the Stelzhammer Straße and Schärdinger Straße during the summer holidays. Around 1.7 million euros are available in the municipal budget for street repair work this year. The bridge will be reopened to traffic after the full closure is lifted. So far, the Alte Straße, Tulpen- & Nelkenstraße, Netzerstraße, and Hagenauer Straße have been renovated, and a deck construction was carried out in the König-Schalinski-Straße and Untere Schneckenbergstraße.
The repair works on the Pionierstraße bridge are nearing completion, with a total cost of around 800,000 euros. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic soon, following the completion of the repairs. These renovations are part of the town's ongoing street repair work, with around 1.7 million euros allocated in the municipal budget for this year.
