P&G’s Indian arm reports 19% profit surge as US investors shift stakes

Procter & Gamble’s Indian subsidiary has reported strong financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. Net profit surged by 19.1%, reaching 683.29 crore rupees (around $80 million). Meanwhile, institutional investors in the US adjusted their holdings in the parent company during Q3 2025.

The Indian arm of P&G saw operating revenue climb by 3.4% to 9,054.11 crore rupees. Advertising and distribution costs also rose sharply, up 21.5% to 930.03 crore rupees. Despite higher expenses, the company’s tax burden fell by 63%, dropping to 252.63 crore rupees.

In the US, Fort Washington Investment Advisors boosted its stake in P&G by 29.9% in Q3 2025. The firm now holds 649,139 shares, valued at nearly $100 million. However, other investors took a different approach. Oak Harvest Investment Services cut its position by 24.8%, while IMS Investment Management Services slashed its holdings by 48.3%. P&G’s stock currently trades at around $143.88. Though below its 52-week high, the price remains above its 50-, 100-, and 200-day moving averages. Analysts project median price targets of $170.50 to $171.38 for 2026, suggesting potential upside of 17–19%. The company’s next earnings report is scheduled for January 22, 2026. No further institutional changes in P&G’s shareholdings were recorded between Q3 and Q4 2025.

The Indian subsidiary’s net profit growth and reduced tax burden highlight a strong fiscal performance. In the US, mixed institutional activity reflects varying investor strategies. With earnings due in January, market watchers will assess whether the company can sustain its momentum.
