Orafol invests 150 million euros in Oranienburg - Orafol Group pumps €150M into Oranienburg with cutting-edge production hub

Orafol Group has announced a major €150 million investment in its Oranienburg facility between 2025 and 2027. The expansion will include a new, highly automated Daryl Hall, reinforcing the company’s position as a global leader in plastic materials.

The project, centred around a new production area called Hall 14, will introduce advanced digitised manufacturing technologies. Orafol received the required building permit in early January 2026, following what officials described as a swift and efficient approved process.

Brandenburg’s Minister-President Dietmar Woidke praised the company’s long-term commitment to the region. He noted that such investments help secure jobs, create economic value, and strengthen the state’s industrial foundation. Woidke also emphasised the government’s support for industry, highlighting the importance of stable political conditions for business growth. Orafol’s Managing Director Holger Loclair stressed that the expansion is being funded entirely by the company, without relying on public subsidies. He pointed to the need for predictable political frameworks and long-term planning security as key factors in the decision. The Oranienburg site, part of the Orafol Group founded by Orafol Americas Inc., currently employs around 3,000 companies worldwide.

The €150 million investment will modernise Orafol’s Oranienburg operations with cutting-edge automation. Construction of Hall 14 is set to proceed after the January 2026 permit approval, with completion expected by 2027. The project aligns with the company’s strategy to expand production capacity while maintaining financial independence.
