Northern Colorado’s Ron Lautzenheiser Honored for Decades of Community Impact
Ron Lautzenheiser, a prominent figure in Northern Colorado, has been named the 2025 Tire Dealer Humanitarian of the Year by Tire Business magazine. The co-owner of four Big O Tires franchises in the region is celebrated for his extensive community service and philanthropy, particularly in Fort Collins, where he has been active for nearly three decades.
Lautzenheiser's impact on the community is vast. He has been instrumental in redeveloping north Fort Collins and founded the North Fort Collins Business Association. His commitment to helping underserved children is evident through initiatives like Project Smile, which has provided free dental and vision care to over 10,000 children.
He has also co-founded Coats & Boots, distributing winter gear to over 1,000 kids each year. Lautzenheiser's collaboration with city leaders has been praised for revitalizing north Fort Collins. His son, Jim, has been instrumental in his community involvement and giving back.
The 2025 Tire Dealer Humanitarian of the Year award comes with a $2,500 donation to a charity of the winner's choice. Lautzenheiser selected Project Self-Sufficiency of Northern Colorado, reflecting his commitment to supporting local communities. Big O Tires, under Lautzenheiser's leadership, also offers complimentary vehicle services for Project Self-Sufficiency families and has raised over $100,000 for community causes.
