Florian Blömer, the NordwestLotto spokesman, shared the exciting news about the player who won this fortune using a system ticket. The lucky ticket only cost 68 euros – talk about a jaw-dropping return on investment! Unfortunately, the famous jackpot of 40.6 million euros went to Bavaria this time around.
This is the seventh million-dollar win in Schleswig-Holstein in the current year. Back in May, another resident of Schleswig-Holstein pocketed nearly 6.1 million euros in the Eurojackpot draw.
It's interesting to note that in 2024, lottery players in Schleswig-Holstein won a whopping 155.5 million euros across all games and bets, and in 2023, it was a colossal 254.7 million euros, including a hefty 120 million-euro win. In June 2023, a North German player bagged this Eurojackpot, which marked the biggest ever payout made by Lotto Schleswig-Holstein, as earlier reports highlighted.
