Nizhny Novgorod Region Plans Five New Industrial Parks by 2025 to Boost Economy

The Nizhny Novgorod Region is expanding its industrial infrastructure with plans for five new state industrial parks by 2025. These will join an existing site in Dzerzhinsk, forming a network of six parks across key municipalities. Officials say the move aims to boost investment and streamline production logistics for local businesses. A land plot for the first of these parks has already been approved in Dzerzhinsk. The new industrial cluster will cover over 310 hectares, positioned near the Doskino freight yard and a major railway line. This location is expected to simplify transport and reduce shipping costs for future tenants.

The site will include full engineering infrastructure, with on-site water supply, wastewater treatment, gas, and electricity networks. Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov highlighted the region's ongoing work to strengthen investment infrastructure, noting that these efforts align with the national project *An Efficient and Competitive Economy*, launched in 2025. So far, 15 potential residents—primarily from the metalworking sector—have shown interest in occupying the new park. The region currently ranks second in Russia's national investment climate rating, a position officials hope to maintain through projects like this.

The five new parks will be built in Bor, Kstovo, Arzamas, Vyksa, and Shchelkovsky district. Their development follows a broader strategy to attract businesses and improve economic competitiveness. With infrastructure already planned and tenant interest growing, the first facilities could begin operations within the next few years.
