Caring Africa Selected for Morgan Stanley's Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures

Nigerian nonprofit tech and policy organisation, Caring Africa, has been chosen for the 2025 Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures (MSISV). This global innovation lab supports 33 organisations, including 29 startups and 4 nonprofits, with investment, mentorship, and business resources to promote equity and sustainability.

Founded in 2019, Caring Africa operates Caring Blocks, a flagship platform connecting families with professional caregivers. The aim is to formalise and reshape a care economy, unlocking new jobs and improving standards of care.

In a rapidly growing population, Nigeria is projected to become the world's third most populous nation by 2050. However, the existing informal care providers in the country struggle to meet the demand for professional, affordable care. Adesiyan, the founder of Caring Africa, argues that technology-led models are the only scalable way to bridge the gap in care services in Nigeria.

Through the MSISV program, Caring Africa will receive capital, mentorship, and access to a global investor network. Morgan Stanley will invest $250,000 in each nonprofit and provide an additional $250,000 grant. This support will enable Caring Africa to expand its operations and reach more families in need of professional care.

Caring Blocks offers B2B and B2G solutions for employers, governments, and institutions. The platform integrates payroll, background, and fitness-to-care checks, and provides training modules. It serves as a care infrastructure-as-a-service platform, offering identity verification, smart matching, contracts, compliance, and payments.

The showcase of the selected organisations will take place in February 2026 at the end of the five-month initiative. Tickets for the Moonshot event in Lagos, organised by our website, can be purchased on the website.

Previously, a headline incorrectly stated that Caring Africa is the sole African pick for Morgan Stanley's program. However, Caring Africa is the only Africa-based care tech venture in the cohort of the global innovation lab.

The selection of Caring Africa by Morgan Stanley signifies that care is no longer viewed as a domestic issue, but a critical frontier for innovation. Through its work, Caring Africa is helping to formalise and reshape the care economy in Nigeria, providing opportunities for professional caregivers and improving the standards of care for families in need.
