Nexi SmartStation unifies payments and store management in one sleek device
Nexi Group has unveiled Nexi SmartStation, a new all-in-one commerce platform for businesses. The system combines payments, point-of-sale functions, and store management into a single device. It aims to simplify operations in busy, multi-vendor retail settings where different systems often create complexity.
The solution was first showcased to partners in the Nordic region and will now roll out to Nexi's software vendor network as part of its Integrated proposition.
The device merges a 15.6-inch Android 14 tablet for merchants with an 8-inch customer-facing screen. It handles card payments—both international and local—as well as mobile wallets and alternative payment methods. High availability features, including offline payment authorisation, ensure transactions continue even if connectivity drops.
Businesses can deploy Nexi SmartStation in fixed, countertop, or mobile setups. It is built for high-performance environments, managing peak transaction volumes without slowdowns. The system targets eight key sectors: retail, hospitality, services, mobility, healthcare, public administration, vending, and parking.
By integrating payments, POS, and store management software, the platform reduces the need for separate hardware. This consolidation helps merchants streamline operations while maintaining flexibility across different store formats.
The launch follows initial demonstrations in the Nordics, where early feedback shaped its development. Nexi's partner software vendors will now offer the solution as part of the company's broader Integrated package.
Nexi SmartStation provides a unified system for payments and store management, cutting down on hardware clutter. Its resilience and adaptability suit industries with high transaction demands. The platform is now available through Nexi's network of software partners, with deployment options tailored to various business needs.
