Livin' Dirty, Belarus Style: A Deep Dive into Market Shenanigans

From the mouth of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade comes the lowdown on some nasty happenings at numerous markets across Belarus. Their recent inspections peeled back the layers of deceit and found a whopping 75% of markets sneakin' around the law!

According to the MART press service, they've been busy combing through 44 markets pearl-divers style, and nearly three quarters of these bad boys turned up dirty secrets.

Take, for example, the "Mini-market 'Olshanka' in Grodno. The law-cracking merchant operating without a lick of legit registration got caught red-handed!

On the same shameful scene, an unfit-to-be-sold vial of poisonous rodent baits ("Clean Home") and other nasty chemicals like "Rubezh" and "Actara" were peddled right next to the fruit stands! Yikes!

In Mogilev, the "Dubrovensky market" turned out to be a black hole of expired goods, with one entrepreneur hockin' rotten goods worth more than 320 rubles to unsuspecting customers. Some items hadn't even been given a label warning of their expiration date! Eww!

But don't worry, those dangerous, low-quality products were given the boot immediately, and their misdeeds were sent to the owners of the markets and the regional committees for swift repercussions.

Businesses in the retail sector, such as "Mini-market 'Olshanka' in Grodno, were operating without legitimate registration, showcasing questionable practices within the industry. Meanwhile, in the realm of finance, some markets were selling expired goods, putting consumer safety at risk. These revelations are a wake-up call for regulatory bodies like MART to ensure compliance and protect both businesses and consumers in Belarus.
