Molson Coors Appoints Rahul Goyal as New President and CEO
Molson Coors Beverage Company has appointed Rahul Goyal as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 1, 2023. Goyal, who has spent 24 years with the company, will also join the Board of Directors. He succeeds Gavin Hattersley, who will remain in an advisory role until the end of 2025.
Goyal's appointment comes after a distinguished career at Molson Coors, where he held several executive roles. He started as Group Manager at Coors Brewing Company and later served as Vice President of IT Transformation Programs (2006-2008). Goyal then held global leadership roles, including Chief Information Officer for Molson Coors UK (2009-2011) and Chief Financial Officer and Board Member for Molson Coors Cobra India (2011-2015).
In his most recent role as Chief Strategy Officer, Goyal expanded the company's portfolio and drove the 'beyond beer' ambition. He led successful partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company and Fever-Tree, and acquisitions of ZOA and Naked Life. Goyal also managed commercial operations of Coors Distributing Company and played a key role in The Yuengling Company joint venture. Board Vice-Chair Geoff Molson praised Goyal's ability to build partnerships and ignite passion around the company's transformation.
Goyal's extensive experience and proven track record make him an ideal choice to lead Molson Coors into its next phase of growth. Board Chair David Coors expressed confidence in Goyal's leadership, and Goyal himself expressed his honor and readiness to lead the company towards its next chapter of growth.
