Heads-up, folks! 🚨 Station "Park Pobedy" on St. Petersburg's Metro-Petrogradskaya ("Blue") Line is about to get a makeover! 🏗️💥 Starting June 29 at 6:00 AM, the station will shut down for renovations - yep, you heard it right! 🗑️ Unfortunately, this means the station will be closed during the "Aлые Паруса" graduation festivities, as per the city's Transport Committee.

But don't worry, the city's got your back! 🚌 During the reconstruction, they'll beef up surface public transport around the area. Tram route No. 29 will receive extra trams running from Tram Park No. 1 to Prospekt Yuri Gagarin, with a reduced interval of just 6 minutes during peak hours!

Here's a quick rundown on the planned makeover: RBC reports that the station's renovation is scheduled to wrap up by 2027. Budget and contractor details for the project haven't been disclosed yet. The renovations will include a new vestibule, updated escalators, and a fresh waterproofing for the inclined passage.

One more station, "Frunzenskaya", is currently under the knife for major repairs too, in case you were wondering.

In light of the Station "Park Pobedy" metro renovation, the finance industry might see an increase in spending due to the transportation adjustments. The temporary closure of the station could potentially affect the local industry, particularly those businesses reliant on the Blue Line. On the positive side, the city's improvements in surface public transport, such as the enhanced Tram route No. 29, could provide new opportunities for the finance industry in terms of public transportation investments.
