TMT Law Practice Merges Litigation Arm with Dugal Grewal & Partners
In a strategic move, the litigation arm of TMT Law Practice has merged with Dugal Grewal & Partners, effective August 1, 2025. This merger involves the transfer of more than 500 litigation matters and a team of 6 lawyers from TMT to Dugal Grewal & Partners.
The merged litigation practice will focus on areas such as commercial disputes, intellectual property, regulatory, media & entertainment, telecom, and arbitration. Both firms have extensive experience in these areas, with Dugal Grewal & Partners handling cases across the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, and tribunals.
Key personnel involved in the merger include Angad Dugal, who co-founded Dugal Grewal & Partners after being a Partner at TMT Law Practice. Sonal Chhablani, a TMT Litigation Partner specializing in media and entertainment law, copyright, trademark, and design law, is also moving to Dugal Grewal & Partners. Abhishek Malhotra, Managing Partner at TMT Law Practice and a Senior Advocate since December 2024, whose designation coincided with the firm’s reorganization prior to the merger, is also part of this strategic alliance. Vartika Malhotra, CEO of TMT Law Practice, has publicly acknowledged the merger.
This strategic alliance aims to enhance litigation capabilities in sectors such as intellectual property and media, leveraging the expertise and client base of both firms to strengthen their foothold in high-profile commercial and regulatory disputes. Dugal Grewal & Partners also aims to deliver quality service to clients by leveraging their relationship with TMT Law Practice.
