Medius Earns Key Certification for France’s Digital Tax and E-Invoicing Reform
Medius has secured final certification as an Approved Platform under France’s new electronic invoicing reform. The company now joins the country’s decentralised Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) system, known as the '5-corner' model. This move positions Medius as a key player in helping businesses adapt to the upcoming digital tax requirements.
The certification was granted by FNFE-MPE, the official body overseeing France’s electronic invoicing reform (facturation électronique). The '5-corner' model separates business transactions from fiscal reporting, allowing the government to improve tax oversight while enabling companies to streamline financial processes. This approach aligns with the future European ViDA regulation (VAT in the Digital Age), setting a foundation for a more sustainable fiscal system.
Medius’ certification covers not just invoices but also expense reports, which are treated as official accounting documents under the reform. The company can now assist mid-sized and large businesses in meeting compliance demands, including invoice issuance, receipt, e-reporting, and the secure transmission of fiscal data to tax authorities.
With this approval, Medius is equipped to support businesses through France’s transition to digital tax compliance. The certification ensures businesses can automate financial workflows while adhering to the new regulatory framework. The system also prepares them for broader European VAT reforms in the coming years.
