Manuel Kuhn Takes Over as Sanacorp's New Trade Board Member

Sanacorp has appointed Manuel Kuhn as its new Board Member for Trade, effective 1 July. He replaces Frank Hennings, who retires after 13 years in the role. Kuhn brings over a decade of experience at the company, most recently as Director of Supplier & Customer Solutions.

Manuel Kuhn joined Sanacorp in 2010 and has since played a central role in driving its digital transformation. He helped expand the Mea-Partnership, launched in 2018 with Medizinhändler- und Apotheker-Verbund eG (MEA). Between 2019 and 2025, this collaboration grew through joint ventures like Sanacorp Mea Logistik GmbH and Sanacorp Mea Digital GmbH. These initiatives optimised logistics, developed digital health solutions, and strengthened Sanacorp's position in Germany's wholesale pharmacy sector.

Under the partnership, Sanacorp shifted toward integrated supply chains and shared infrastructure, cutting costs while boosting market reach. Revenue rose from €1.2 billion in 2019 to over €1.8 billion by 2025. Kuhn's leadership in these areas contributed to the company's growth and strategic direction. Frank Hennings, who led trade operations for 13 years, steps down at 60 after requesting early retirement. CEO Patrick Neuss thanked him for his long-standing contributions and wished him well. Neuss also expressed confidence in Kuhn's ability to build on this legacy, calling the appointment a positive step for the company's future. In his new position, Kuhn will oversee sales, strategic procurement, the Mea partnership, and product and service management. He has stated his commitment to delivering innovative, market-driven solutions that meet customer needs. The executive board now includes Antje Saalfeld (Pharmacies & Quality Assurance), Frank Sczesny (Technology & Operations), and Kuhn as the newest member.

Kuhn's promotion marks a continuation of Sanacorp's focus on digital and logistical innovation. His responsibilities will span key areas of the business, from procurement to customer solutions. The transition follows a period of revenue growth and strategic expansion for the company.
