Mall's grand opening: Hưng Yên shopping center commences business operations
**GO! Huŋ Yên Shopping Mall Opens in Huŋ Yên Province**
In a significant stride for local commercial and socio-economic growth, the modern GO! Huŋ Yên shopping mall was officially inaugurated in Phṓ Hiến Ward, Huŋ Yên Province. The mall, an investment of VNĐ429 billion (approximately US$16.5 million), is the latest addition to Central Retail's expanding network of shopping centres in Vietnam.
Spanning 16,000 square metres over two commercial floors and a 1,000-square-metre parking area, GO! Huŋ Yên offers a comprehensive shopping experience, following a multi-functional retail model that encompasses shopping, dining, learning, entertainment, and sustainability.
The mall features a GO! Hypermarket and more than 50 well-known domestic and international brands, including a dedicated space for OCOP (One Commune One Product) items from across Việt Nam. This space aims to provide a platform for local artisans and producers to market their unique goods, promoting rural economic development.
Central Retail prioritizes food safety, sustainability, and supporting local businesses. Featured products at GO! Huŋ Yên include Huŋ Yên's own longan, Bần soy sauce, crispy lotus seeds, honey, and turmeric powder.
The mall's opening is part of Central Retail's 'One Shopping Centre - One School' campaign, demonstrating their commitment to supporting education across the country. Central Retail announced a VNĐ2.5 billion donation to Bảo Khê Primary and Secondary School to build a multi-purpose training hall.
GO! Huŋ Yên is expected to generate around 400 new jobs, primarily for local residents. The mall's inauguration, five months ahead of schedule, is a testament to Central Retail's dedication to delivering high-quality retail experiences and contributing to the development of various related sectors, as well as supporting the provincial budget.
Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Việt Nam, noted that modern retail still accounts for less than 15% of the market in the country. With the opening of GO! Huŋ Yên, Central Retail now operates 44 shopping centres nationwide, aiming to further enhance the quality of life for local residents through a wide range of products and services.
- Artificial intelligence (AI) is likely to play a significant role in the operations of GO! Huŋ Yên shopping mall, enhancing customer service and streamlining business processes.
- The expansion of the business industry in Huŋ Yên Province is expected to have a ripple effect, with the retail sector providing jobs for locals in entertainment, education, finance, and lifestyle sectors.
- The integration of education into the mall's operations, through the 'One Shopping Centre - One School' campaign, indicates a growing emphasis on lifelong learning and personal development within the retail industry.
- The mall's dedication to sustainability extends beyond its commercial offerings, with a focus on food safety, local business support, and the promotion of rural economic development through OCOP items.
- The space industry could potentially benefit from the presence of GO! Huŋ Yên, as increased economic activity and jobs in the province may attract innovative technology companies, including those involved in satellite and space technology.
- War and conflicts, typically associated with disruption to business and economic growth, are unlikely to impact GO! Huŋ Yên significantly, given its strategic location in a peaceful and growing province. However, the mall's commitment to supporting local communities could create resilient networks that help mitigate such impacts in the future.
