Izad Kazran & Co (IKC), a renowned Malaysian law firm, has announced the establishment of a new division, IKC Corporate Services (IKCorp). This strategic evolution of IKC's business structure aims to offer a comprehensive range of corporate and business advisory services across Southeast Asia.

Led by Wilson Tan, a seasoned professional with a rich background in accounting and business advisory, IKCorp is set to provide a variety of services tailored to meet the needs of businesses operating in the region. These services include company formation, corporate secretarial services, accounting and tax compliance, business registration and licensing, and nominee services.

In a bid to capitalise on Southeast Asia's economic growth and increasing demand for corporate services, IKCorp has outlined a growth strategy that encompasses four key areas: expansion into new markets, diversification of services, enhancing the client base, and marketing and brand development.

Expansion into new markets will see IKCorp focusing on rapidly growing economies such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Strategic partnerships with local firms will also be formed to leverage their knowledge and networks.

Diversification of services will involve the incorporation of specialized services like financial advisory, human resources management, and IT solutions. IKCorp is also investing in technology to provide more efficient and remote services, enhancing the client experience.

To attract foreign investors and support local SMEs, IKCorp aims to offer affordable and tailored services. Building a strong brand through digital marketing, networking events, and thought leadership in the legal and corporate services sectors is another key focus area.

IKCorp also plans to develop expertise in specific sectors such as technology, healthcare, or finance, which are growing rapidly in Southeast Asia. In terms of talent acquisition and retention, IKCorp will hire local professionals with deep knowledge of local markets and regulations, and offer continuous training and development opportunities.

By the end of 2025, IKC aims to grow its team for IKCorp to 10 employees. With its strategic expansion and diversification, IKCorp is poised to make a significant impact in the corporate advisory landscape of Southeast Asia.

Wilson Tan, who previously worked as an accountant at Ernst & Young and founded accounting firm Oakleaf, has joined IKC as a partner to lead IKCorp. Kho Sze Jia, managing partner of IKC, is also the Director of IKCorp. The announcement of IKCorp was made in a company statement.

Wilson Tan, the partner leading IKCorp, will oversee a variety of services, including company formation and financial advisory, as the division aims to cater to businesses in the Southeast Asian finance industry. In its growth strategy, IKCorp plans to diversify into HR management and IT solutions, with a focus on affordable and tailored services in sectors like technology and healthcare.
