Leslie Siebert Promoted as Sole President of the Gersh Agency
In a significant shift for the Gersh Agency, Leslie Siebert has been promoted to the position of sole president, making her the first woman to lead the full-service agency. This promotion comes as the Gersh family transitions to co-chairman roles, stepping back from daily operations.
David and Bob Gersh, the current co-presidents, will now assume the co-chairman positions, marking a new era for the agency. Eric Garfinkel, who has been promoted to partner, will serve as co-head of Gersh's Motion Picture Literary Department, indicating a significant leadership role within the agency.
The Gersh family's transition to co-chairman roles is part of a larger restructuring at the agency. In a move to compete with industry giants like CAA, WME, and UTA, the agency has doubled its workforce to 600 following the acquisition of Madrid-based sports and entertainment agency You First.
This acquisition has also led to the formation of a new division, Gersh Sports, which is headed by Steve Gersh, the grandson of the agency's founder, Phil Gersh. Juan Aísa from You First has joined the board of Gersh Sports.
In addition to the leadership changes, the agency has also made several promotions to senior partner. David DeCamillo, Eric Garfinkel, Randi Goldstein, Rick Greenstein, Jason Gutman, Lindsay Porter, Alec Shankman, Jade Sherman, Joe Veltre, Matt Vioral, Bart Walker, Daisy Wu, and the recent hire Bonnie Bernstein have all been promoted to senior partner.
The agency has also expanded its talent pool by acquiring around 25 agents from the digital and alternative departments of A3 Artists Agency last year. This move has allowed Gersh to represent a wider range of talents, as evidenced by a series of high-profile signings in 2025, including Anna Faris, Elijah Wood, Michael C. Hall, Constance Wu, Quvenzhané Wallis, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ty Burrell, Michelle Monaghan, Stephanie Beatriz, Pablo Schreiber, and Idina Menzel.
To drive this growth, the agency has secured significant outside financing from a private equity firm. This investment will undoubtedly propel Gersh Agency forward in its mission to compete with the industry's leading agencies.
The Gersh Agency, in its restructuring process, has created a new division, Gersh Sports, to strengthen its presence in the sports and entertainment industry, headed by Steve Gersh. In an effort to expand its finance and competitiveness, the agency has secured substantial outside funding from a private equity firm, aiming to compete with major players like CAA, WME, and UTA in both business and entertainment sectors.
