Latin American maritime company, Fleet LatAm, announces the appointment of AMAVE's CEO as their latest member on the advisory board.
Liliana Anaya, the CEO of Mexico's vehicle leasing association (AMAVE), has been appointed as a member of the Fleet LatAm Advisory Board. With extensive experience in the financial and leasing industry, Anaya will support Fleet LatAm's initiatives to foster business and innovation in Latin America's leasing sectors.
As of the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, AMAVE has 319,784 units under leasing, with 70.5% of these vehicles operating under a pure leasing scheme. The government leases 21% of AMAVE's fleet, indicating a growing preference for leasing schemes among companies and the government in Mexico.
The Fleet LatAm Advisory Board, consisting of 17 members, directs the organisation's activities around communication strategies, live and virtual events, and engagement within the region. Their initiatives notably include the organisation of the Fleet LatAm Summit & Awards 2025, a key event dedicated to fleet and mobility leaders in Latin America, held in Mexico City in September 2025.
The Advisory Board also promotes inclusivity and gender diversity through efforts such as the Inspiring Women in Fleet program, which supports women's visibility and inclusive workspaces in the sector. The first live event of this program was held in Mexico City in 2023.
Moreover, the Advisory Board guides the development and communication related to the leasing and fleet sectors in Latin America, Central America, and the Caribbean, emphasising region-specific trends and business growth. Despite not mentioning specific new leasing initiatives or projects beyond event organization and the inclusion program, their focus spans enhancing regional fleet management practices, supporting industry networking and knowledge sharing through summits and awards, and encouraging gender diversity and inclusive workplaces within the leasing and fleet industry sectors.
For authoritative and up-to-date member names and specific initiatives, Fleet LatAm’s official site or direct communications would provide the most accurate details. Being a member of the Fleet LatAm Advisory Board, Liliana Anaya's involvement in the board will extend to guiding the organization's efforts in both business and financial aspects, given her extensive background in the leasing industry. As a result, her appointment will be instrumental in boosting industry-related initiatives and promoting innovation in leasing businesses across Latin America.
Collaborating with other members, Anaya will contribute to the organization of key events such as the Fleet LatAm Summit & Awards 2025, which aim to bring together industry leaders and foster growth within the leasing and fleet sectors in Latin America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
