Landmark Contract Renewal Boosts Welfare for 32,000 Italian Managers by 2026

Confcommercio and Manageritalia have renewed the national collective agreement for executives in the tertiary, distribution, and services sectors. The new agreement, signed on November 5, 2021, will be effective from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028, benefiting over 32,000 managers across more than 10,000 companies.

The agreement introduces several advancements in welfare and active aging policies. It includes measures for gender equality, support for working parents, and healthcare coverage for managers with serious illnesses. Additionally, it aims to combat contractual dumping.

The contract offers an annual welfare credit of €1,500 and a gradual increase in contributions to the Mario Negri Fund, reaching 2.62% by 2028. It also provides for a gross monthly pay increase of €800 at full implementation, to be rolled out in three progressive installments.

Notably, the agreement allows for fixed-term contracts of up to three years, including part-time arrangements, for senior executives re-entering the workforce, with reduced social security contributions.

The renewal of the collective agreement brings significant improvements in welfare and working conditions for over 32,000 managers. The new contract, set to begin in 2026, will have a positive impact on the sector and its employees.
