Kuwait & Japan Boost Economic Ties: Seminar Draws 20 Major Japanese Firms

A seminar held in May aimed to boost economic ties between Kuwait and Japan. Organized by Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Kuwaiti Embassy, the event drew representatives from 20 major Japanese companies. Kuwait's Ambassador to Japan, Sami Al-Zamanan, underscored Kuwait's dedication to attracting Japanese investments and know-how.

The seminar, titled 'Promoting Economic Relations between Kuwait and Japan,' highlighted Kuwait's commitment to Vision 2035. KDIPA showcased key investment opportunities, focusing on infrastructure development and economic diversification. Al-Zamanan stressed Kuwait's eagerness to strengthen bilateral relations, with Japanese corporations showing keen interest.

Mitsubishi Corporation and Citibank Japan shared insights into their Kuwait operations and outlooks. The event underscored the growing momentum in Kuwaiti-Japanese economic relations, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to expanding their strategic partnership.

The seminar, attended by 20 leading Japanese corporations, marked a significant step in promoting economic relations between Kuwait and Japan. Kuwait's Vision 2035 and the interest shown by Japanese companies indicate a promising future for bilateral trade and investment.
