National projects aren't about reports and statistics. They're about smooth roads to drive on, schools where children want to learn, and healthcare that reaches even the smallest villages. For several years now, Krasnodar Krai—along with the rest of Russia—has been living through a period of systemic transformation, and today, the results are becoming impossible to miss.

A System That Delivers

Some changes aren't immediately visible. They don't catch the eye like a new waterfront promenade or a state-of-the-art school. Yet these are the shifts that transform lives most profoundly—systemically, at the level of connections between industries, policies, and priorities. That's what national projects are all about.

Russia's national development priorities were first outlined in this format by President Vladimir Putin in 2018. The initial six-year cycle saw Krasnodar Krai allocate roughly 335 billion rubles to their implementation—nearly half of which came from the federal budget. According to the region's Department of Project Activity, this funding enabled the creation of over 7,000 socially significant facilities: schools, kindergartens, parks, playgrounds, medical equipment for hospitals, cultural institutions, and other critical infrastructure for every resident of Kuban.

But the real impact goes beyond new buildings. National projects haven't just expanded the region's assets—they've also sharpened the efficiency of governance itself. They've evolved into a fully functional system, a well-oiled machine driving progress.
