Khabarovsk Krai invests 65M rubles to transform tourism by 2026

Khabarovsk Krai has secured over 65 million rubles to boost tourism in 2026. The funding will support event promotion, infrastructure upgrades, and new travel routes across the region. Officials aim to make the area more attractive to visitors through targeted investments.

The money will come from the national Tourism and Hospitality project under the Unified Subsidy program. Companies and entrepreneurs will compete for grants, with successful applicants receiving reimbursements for approved expenses. These include costs tied to creating or modernising facilities that improve safety and comfort along cultural and natural routes.

In 2025, the scheme already backed 12 local businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Regional government data from December 2025 confirmed the earlier round of funding. This time, organisers plan to expand support for event tourism, ensuring a wider range of activities for travellers.

A portion of the funds will also go toward developing new routes and upgrading existing infrastructure. The goal is to enhance accessibility and visitor experiences across Khabarovsk Krai's key destinations.

The 65 million ruble allocation will fund competitive grants for tourism projects in 2026. Successful applicants will receive financial backing for infrastructure, route development, and event organisation. The initiative builds on previous years' efforts to strengthen the region's appeal to tourists.
