Khabarovsk Krai backs young families with 300M rubles for housing in 2026

The government of Khabarovsk Krai has announced a new funding boost for young families in 2026. A total of 300 million rubles will be set aside to help them buy or build homes. Officials describe the initiative as a vital investment in the region’s future.

The programme builds on previous success. In 2025, regional and federal support enabled 295 young families to improve their living conditions. Now, the new funds will provide around 100 social payment certificates for housing purchases.

To qualify, families must have at least one child, with each spouse or single parent aged 35 or under. They must also be officially recognised as needing better housing. Participants with children will receive support covering 35% of the property cost, while those without children get 30%. The money can be used for either constructing a home or buying one from a developer within their local district. Olga Sokolenko, who took part in the programme, recently found an apartment that suited her needs and praised the scheme’s impact.

The Khabarovsk Krai Ministry of Construction will oversee the distribution of funds. Eligible families can apply for certificates to reduce housing costs. The initiative aims to make homeownership more accessible for younger residents in the region.
