Keeta, Meituan Subsidiary, to Create 350 Jobs and Digitize 5000 UAE SMEs
Keeta, an international subsidiary of Chinese tech giant Meituan, has made significant strides in the UAE. The company has signed a MoU with the UAE Ministry of Investment to establish its headquarters in the country. This move is set to bring numerous benefits, including job creation and digital integration for SMEs.
The agreement, signed by Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment, and Tony Qiu, Vice President of International Business at Meituan and CEO of Keeta, will see Keeta invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the UAE over the next three to five years. This investment includes creating over 350 high-skilled jobs and integrating over 5,000 UAE-based SMEs into Keeta's global entry platform.
Keeta also plans to introduce advanced logistics technologies, such as drones and autonomous vehicles, to enhance efficiency and sustainability. The company aims to support knowledge transfer and build a future-ready workforce through talent development programmes and innovation workshops.
The UAE Ministry of Investment will facilitate Keeta's entry into the country, helping with engagement with authorities and exploring investment incentives. Alsuwaidi described the partnership as reflecting the UAE's role as a global hub for innovation and trade. Qiu, meanwhile, sees this as a pivotal step in Keeta's global expansion, aligning with the UAE's economic vision.
