Kazakhstan's Digital Nomad Visa Program Attracts 270 Global Applicants

Kazakhstan's Digital Nomad Visa program, launched in January 2025, has garnered significant global interest. Over 270 applications have been received from 20 countries, with the first visas granted to tech specialists from Algeria and Botswana.

The program targets high-tech professionals, including those specialising in AI, Big Data, automation, and information security. It allows visa holders to work with both foreign and local companies and offers a pathway to permanent residency.

The first 10-year Digital Nomad Residency permit was awarded to Pavel Filatov, a senior analytics and BI engineer. This marks a significant milestone in the program, demonstrating its commitment to attracting and retaining global talent.

Notably, the first Digital Nomad Visas issued did not require income proof, making it accessible to a wider range of applicants.

With over 270 applications received, the Digital Nomad Visa program in Kazakhstan is off to a strong start. It has successfully attracted tech specialists from around the world, with the first visas issued to applicants from Algeria, Botswana, and a 10-year residency permit to Pavel Filatov. The program continues to draw interest from digital nomads in high-tech fields.
