Kazakhstan Boosts Cargo Transport with New Crossing and Railway Line

Kazakhstan is set to significantly enhance its cargo transportation capabilities with the construction of the Bakhty - Tacheng border crossing and the launch of the second line of the Dostyk - Moyynt railway. These developments promise to reduce transit times and increase cargo volumes, further cementing the country's status as a major transport hub.

The Bakhty - Tacheng crossing, currently under construction, is expected to double the cargo throughput to 100 million tons once operational. This will not only speed up transportation but also provide convenient services for shippers and receivers along the Middle Corridor. The launch of this railway is anticipated to reduce transit time through Kazakhstan by 12-14 hours.

Meanwhile, the second line of the Dostyk - Moyynt railway, stretching 836 km, was launched on September 30. This development is set to increase the total volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and China to 50 million tons, a fivefold increase on this section. These improvements are expected to contribute to Kazakhstan's development as a transport hub.

With the Bakhty - Tacheng crossing and the second line of the Dostyk - Moyynt railway, Kazakhstan is poised to significantly boost its cargo transportation capabilities. These developments promise to reduce transit times and increase cargo volumes, further enhancing the country's position as a key player in the global logistics network.
