Kazakh Mother of Four Declared Bankrupt After 6M Tenge Debt Crisis
A district civil court in Shymkent has declared a mother of four bankrupt after she amassed debts of over 6 million tenge. The woman, whose name remains undisclosed, faced financial collapse due to loans for family needs, medical care, and rehabilitation for her children. With no income or assets, the court ruled in favour of her insolvency petition.
The woman’s debts spiralled after taking out loans for living improvements, medical treatment, and her children’s rehabilitation. Her financial struggles worsened as she received no support from her former spouse. Despite renting an apartment, she lacked any property or steady income.
The ruling leaves the woman free from debt obligations but without assets or income. Her case highlights the financial strain faced by single parents with no support system. The court’s decision is final, and no further appeals are possible.
