Jägermeister defies slump and sells more herbal liqueur - Jägermeister Hits Record Sales in 2025 Despite Spirits Market Slump
Jägermeister has defied a global downturn in high-proof spirits by posting record sales in 2025. While most major brands struggled, the German company saw a sharp rise in bottle sales on the stock market today. CEO Michael Volke confirmed the brand's growing strength despite wider market challenges.
The company sold 117.6 million 0.7-litre bottles last year, a 7.7% jump from 2024. This surge came even as global demand for strong spirits weakened on the stock market. Revenue also climbed to €882 million, up from €866 million the previous year.
Not all of Jägermeister's ventures thrived, however. Its Teremana tequila brand saw a decline, with sales falling to 13.3 million bottles—a drop of 1.5 million compared to 2024. The broader tequila market faced similar pressures, though detailed comparisons remain unclear.
Despite the mixed results, Jägermeister's core product continued to outperform. The brand's 2025 revenue still lagged behind its 2023 peak of €962 million. Yet, with bottle sales at an all-time high, the company has reinforced its position in a shrinking stock market.
Jägermeister's latest figures highlight its resilience amid a broader industry slump. The brand's flagship liqueur now accounts for more sales than ever, even as some of its newer products face setbacks. The results suggest a strong foothold in a competitive and contracting spirits sector.
