Interros buys 25% of Tochka Bank in $240M deal ahead of full takeover
Interros acquired 25% of Tochka Bank from VK, the companies reported. The acquired shares will be transferred to T-Technology through a closed subscription. The sale price was no less than 21.2 billion rubles.
Interros sees potential for Tochka Bank to enter the ecosystem of T-Technology, combining technological capabilities and creating new services for entrepreneurs, Interros CEO Sergey Batekhin said. He recalled that T-Technology intends to consolidate 100% of Tochka Bank. The credit organization will retain its brand and continue to operate under its license and develop products for business.
In VK's press service, it was clarified that the deal amount was no less than 21.2 billion rubles. The sale took place within the framework of the investment portfolio management strategy, which assumes growth in the value of investments and "return on invested capital," they added. The company recalled that VK acquired Tochka in the fourth quarter of 2023, when the asset's value was 11.6 billion rubles. "From the moment of acquisition of the asset, the company has received income in the form of dividends in the amount of 4.3 billion rubles," it was stated in the message.
T-Technology announced plans to consolidate up to 100% of Tochka Bank shares by February 2026. Tochka Bank noted that the decision on consolidation could be made at a T-Technology shareholder meeting in June 2026.
