Infraserv Logistics bids farewell to a logistics visionary after decades of leadership

Dr. Andreas Brockmeyer will step down as Managing Director of Infraserv Logistics at the end of the year. His retirement marks the close of a long career in industrial and logistics management. Dr. Klaus Alberti will then take over as the company’s sole Managing Director.

Dr. Brockmeyer began his professional journey in 1988 as a laboratory manager for applied physics at Hoechst AG. After nearly a decade, he moved into marketing and sales, joining Provadis in 2007. There, he led the education service provider’s commercial division before becoming managing director of its subsidiary, Technion.

In 1997, following the establishment of Infraserv Höchst, he took on the role of deputy head of marketing and sales. His work focused on developing the sales division and promoting the industrial site. By 2014, he had become managing director of Infrasite Griesheim, where he reshaped the Griesheim Industrial Park. Six years later, Dr. Brockmeyer moved to Infraserv Logistics GmbH as its managing director. During his time in charge, he launched major projects, including the expansion of logistics infrastructure and the modernisation of the plant railway. He also introduced advanced IT systems and opened a new hazardous materials warehouse tailored for chemical and pharmaceutical clients. Colleagues have recognised his contributions, with Dr. Alexander Wagner noting his commitment, innovative thinking, and emphasis on corporate integrity. Wagner also praised his people-centred management style.

Dr. Brockmeyer’s departure leaves a legacy of strategic growth and operational improvements at Infraserv Logistics. Dr. Klaus Alberti, previously a co-managing director alongside Dr. Michael Harre, will now lead the company alone. The transition follows years of development under Brockmeyer’s direction.
