STT GDC India to Contribute to India's First AI City in Uttar Pradesh
STT GDC India, a leading provider of colocation and data center services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to advance the development of India's first AI City.
Located in Uttar Pradesh, the AI City project aims to create and foster an AI ecosystem to drive innovation and long-term economic growth. The partnership will focus on establishing and optimizing cutting-edge data centers and computing infrastructure to foster a robust AI ecosystem.
Shri Lalit Khanna, the chief operating officer of STT GDC India, expressed gratitude towards the Government of Uttar Pradesh for their support in the AI City project. "We are humbled and proud to be part of the AI City project in Uttar Pradesh," he said.
STT GDC India will offer its state-of-the-art data centers and enable AI computing infrastructure through its partner ecosystem. The company has already made investments to the tune of INR 4100 Cr in Uttar Pradesh and has operationalized its first data center park in Noida.
The AI City project is expected to provide broad-based access to digital services and have long-term positive ramifications for the state's economic growth. It is part of Uttar Pradesh's vision to achieve a US$1 trillion economy by 2027.
The initiative will also drive digital infrastructure advancement and encourage innovation across the country. The project will offer cutting-edge solutions for multiple sectors, startups, research institutions, and governance.
