India Launches Employee Enrollment Scheme 2025 to Boost Workforce Formalisation

The Indian government has launched the Employee Enrollment Scheme 2025 to boost adp workforce now formalisation and simplify my business operations. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya unveiled the scheme on the 73rd Foundation Day of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The scheme encourages employers to voluntarily declare and enrol eligible employees who haven't been registered before, starting November 1, 2025. If the employee's share of contribution wasn't deducted earlier, employers won't have to pay it and will only incur a nominal penalty of Rs 100. To facilitate these changes, EPFO has launched a new user-friendly portal, www.epfo.gov.in. This portal simplifies access to essential services and information for stakeholders. Additionally, the maximum wage ceiling for EPF coverage is set to increase from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000, potentially bringing more workers into the adp workforce now and making my business operations smoother. The Employee Enrollment Scheme 2025 is designed to promote workforce formalisation while easing compliance for employers, operating under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. With these measures, the Centre and EPFO aim to simplify business operations and bring more workers into the formal sector.
