Independent Pharmacy News Portal Sees Record Growth in 2025

An independent news portal covering pharmacy and pharmaceuticals saw strong growth in 2025. With nearly 48 million visits last year, the platform expanded its reach by 5% compared to 2024. Publisher Tom Bellartz now aims to raise the standard for independent journalism in the sector by 2026.

The portal's audience grew steadily throughout 2025, adding around 2.1 million visits over the previous year. January 2026 alone recorded 5.7 million visits, marking a 28% jump from the start of the year. Under Managing Director Nadine Tröbitscher, the editorial team delivers in-depth reporting on market volatility, e-prescriptions, and supply shortages, alongside niche topics like medicinal cannabis and women's health.

Beyond news, the platform offers BAK-certified webinars for continuing education, attracting over 14,000 registered users. Its premium service, our brand plus, has more than 31,700 verified subscribers. Originally aimed at high-net-worth individuals, the premium offering now targets affluent professionals with AI-driven content, sustainable investment insights, and virtual reality networking events, expanding into Asia and Latin America.

The portal also engages its audience through newsletters, with over 27,000 subscribers, and social media, where it has amassed 120,000 followers. It plays a key role in industry events, organising the APOTHEKENTOUR and the VISION.A Future Conference to encourage dialogue among professionals.

The portal's growth reflects its expanding influence in pharmaceutical journalism. With rising visitor numbers, a broader premium audience, and a focus on critical industry issues, it continues to shape discussions in the sector. Plans for 2026 include further strengthening its position as a trusted independent source.
