Illegal Workers Caught at Fürstenwalde Construction Site
On 13.08.2025, the Main Customs Office Frankfurt (Oder) inspected a construction site in Fürstenwalde. During the inspection, three individuals attempted to evade authorities by fleeing. They were later identified as Brazilian nationals who could not prove their right to stay and work in Germany, making them illegal workers.
The inspection aimed to ensure proper employee registration, prevent social benefits fraud, and check for illegal work due to lack of permits. It also aimed to verify minimum wage compliance. During the inspection, the three Brazilian construction workers were found to be working illegally.
