Iconic Rock Artist Ozzy Osbourne Secures Another Billboard Top Spot, Despite Unreleased Track

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rock and roll icon, is still making waves in the music scene despite his health issues forcing him to take it easy. This week, he's back on the Billboard charts with a new hit, "Gods of Rock N Roll," in collaboration with Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens. The tune debuts at No. 26 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, and although fans can't buy or stream it yet, early radio play could make it a success when it drops on February 14.

In fact, the song isn't a totally new release; it's a reworked version of a 2015 track from Billy Morrison's album, "God Shaped Hole." This revamped version boasts a 61-piece orchestra and choir, adding a grand symphonic rock experience. Steve Stevens, the iconic guitarist known for his work with Billy Idol, lends his talents to this new version as well.

Osbourne, Morrison, and Stevens are no strangers to success together. Last year, they scored their first hit on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with "Crack Cocaine," which nearly reached No. 1. This time, they've earned the second-highest debut on the chart with "Gods of Rock N Roll," debuting behind only Shinedown's "Dance, Kid, Dance."

Three other debuts join them on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart this period. Skillet's "Ash in the Wind" debuts at No. 38, Killswitch Engage unveils "I Believe" at No. 39, and Kalamity Kills with Aaron Gillespie debut "Starry Skies (988)" at the very bottom, at No. 40.

As for live performances, Osbourne has made it clear that they won't be a big part of his future. However, writing and recording music in the studio might be more manageable for him, given his current capabilities. Black Sabbath, the band that made him a superstar, is planning a final show, set for July 5 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
