Huawei unveils upcoming releases under Luxeed and Aito brands slated for August 25
In a significant move for the automotive industry, Huawei's HIMA business has announced a new product launch event for its Luxeed and Aito brands. The event, scheduled for August 25 at 2:30 pm Beijing Time, is set to be a showcase of innovation and progress.
The Luxeed-S9T Wagon, originally a model from Chinese brand Evergrande, is officially scheduled to be unveiled at this event. Also, Luxeed will launch the updated S7 pure electric sedan and R7 coupe SUV, which began pre-sales on August 8. The updated S7 sedan is priced at RMB 258,000 ($35,900), while the R7 coupe SUV is available for RMB 268,000.
Luxeed's announcement of the updated models has been met with a strong response, as they received over 10,000 pre-orders within an hour of going on pre-sales.
Aito, another brand under Huawei's HIMA, will also be a significant player at the event. The M8 SUV BEV variant and the updated M7 SUV will be launched. The M8 BEV started pre-sales on August 25 with a starting price of RMB 378,000. The updated M7 SUV, with dimensions of 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, is expected to make its presence at the event.
Aito launched the M8 large SUV on April 16, initially offering only extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants with a starting price of RMB 359,800. The M8 BEV variant will be a new addition to the M8 lineup.
