Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Announces New Sales Leadership

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a significant change in its sales leadership, with Phil Mottram appointed as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, effective from November 1. This follows the retirement of Heiko Meyer, who spent 38 years at HPE.

Heiko Meyer, who served as the leader of Global Sales, contributed significantly to targeted market share gains for HPE. His most recent role at HPE was as executive vice president of growth markets, where he spearheaded shifts in HPE's go-to-market model and led the largest sales transformation in HPE's history.

Meyer feels proud of the team and fortunate to have spent his career in service of HPE's customers and partners. Antonio Neri, president and CEO of HPE, highlighted Meyer's monumental impact on HPE's sales organization.

Neri stated that Phil Mottram is an exceptional fit for the role. Mottram, who has more than 30 years' experience in the tech sector, began his career at AT&T. He then moved on to roles at Sprint, BT, and Telstra before transitioning to business leadership roles at CSL, Vodafone, and Zayo.

Prior to joining HPE, Mottram spent four years as EVP and general manager of HPE Aruba Networking. In his new role, he will lead HPE's global sales teams across its Servers and Hybrid Cloud solutions segment and head up HPE's channel and partner ecosystem.

Mottram's predecessor at his previous role is not publicly available, while specific details about his successor are not yet disclosed. Heiko Meyer's retirement marks the end of a career spanning 38 years at HPE, during which he played a crucial role in driving growth and innovation.

Meyer expressed his pride in the team and his gratitude towards HPE's customers and partners. He feels fortunate to have spent his career in service of these entities and leaves the company with a sense of accomplishment.

With Phil Mottram at the helm, HPE is poised for continued success in the tech industry. His extensive experience and proven track record make him an ideal choice for the role. As HPE moves forward, it will undoubtedly benefit from Mottram's leadership and vision.
