Hitachi Leads Chile's Green Hydrogen Revolution with 'Grid-to-Stack' Solutions

Hitachi, a global technology leader, is making strides in Chile's burgeoning green hydrogen sector. The company, with an extensive global presence and revenues exceeding 9,783.3 billion yen, is tackling the challenge of integrating renewable energies and large-scale industrial loads in the country. Its 'Grid-to-Stack' solutions portfolio covers all electrical technology from high-voltage grid connection to electrolyzer terminals.

Hitachi's Business Development Manager, Jorge Tamayo, has signed confidentiality agreements to collaborate technically with main companies in Chile. The company is already in conversations with leading enterprises, including Hive Energy Ltd., through its subsidiary Hive Hydrogen South Africa, for green hydrogen projects in Chile.

Rebeca Poleo, president of the Chilean Hydrogen Association (H2 Chile), and Mario Marchese, president of the Magallanes Green Hydrogen Association, both emphasized the importance of Hitachi's role in supporting and fostering green hydrogen projects in the country. The company's expertise in electrification and sustainable energy solutions is driving its success in Chile's hydrogen sector.
