Highway Repairs Boost 'Kullaty' Hiking Trail & 'Umnas' Road Ahead of Schedule

The 'Appalachian Trail', set to benefit from highway repairs, will have road signs installed and plans to upgrade the highway to boost tourism. Meanwhile, the repair of the regional road 'Umnas' is nearing completion.

The highway repair project includes the development of the 'All Trails' hiking trail. Installation of road signs is currently underway on the section with a new asphalt surface along the tourist complex 'Orto Doidu'.

Plans are in place to upgrade the highway as part of the national project 'Infrastructure for Life', aiming to boost tourism in the region.

The repair of the regional road 'Umnas' from km 46 to km 51 is nearing completion. Work is also underway to develop design and estimate documents for the capital repair of the 'Umnas' highway from km 37.6 to km 42, including street lighting and two bus stops. Road workers are aiming to finish ahead of schedule by a month. Next year, the contractor will start repairing the road from km 62 to km 65.

The highway repair project, including the development of the 'Appalachian Trail' hiking trail and the upgrade of the 'Umnas' highway, is expected to improve tourism and infrastructure in the region. The project is progressing as planned, with road signs installed and repair work nearing completion.
