High-Quality Goods and Services Recognized with Prime Minister's Export Award
Two Thai companies, Tropicana Oil and Thai Asia Rice Product, have been recognised for their outstanding achievements in the export sector. Both companies received the Prime Minister's Export Award (PM's Export Award) in the 33rd edition of the prestigious accolade, established by the Commerce Ministry's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in 1992.
Tropicana Oil, a leading coconut oil producer, won in two categories – Best Green & Sustainable Exporter and Best Thai Brand. The company's eco-friendly production methods, which include wastewater treatment systems, clean energy solutions, and a longstanding zero-waste production philosophy, have played a significant role in its success. Tropicana Oil's coconut farms are certified organic by international standards, and its coconut oil contains four times more monolaurin than regular coconut oil.
Moreover, Tropicana Oil's R&D laboratory develops cosmetics that combine coconut oil with Thai herbal extracts and other innovations to increase product value. The company's product range now includes nearly 90 products, sold domestically and exported to almost 20 countries. Winning the PM's Export Award strengthens Tropicana Oil's brand credibility and reassures customers that its products meet the highest standards.
Tropicana Oil uses 100% Thai coconuts, particularly from the Tapi basin. The company's commitment to environmental responsibility, as emphasised by Bee and Orawan Loorboonyarak, Managing Directors of Tropicana Oil, has been instrumental in its growth.
Thai Asia Rice Product, a company with more than 50 years of expertise in producing dried noodle products, was also recognised with the PM's Export Award in the Best Exporter category. The company's noodles are made from natural, high-quality, chemical-free and preservative-free ingredients, and are gluten-free, nutritious, and suitable for all age groups.
Thai Asia Rice Product has invested in high-efficiency machinery to expand production capacity and meet the growing demands of international orders. The company attributes its recognition to its customer-centric approach, which has boosted consumer confidence in its products.
Meanwhile, Heritage Snacks & Food, a Thai manufacturer of healthy food and beverages, won the Best Exporter category in the PM's Export Award. The company distributes its products domestically and exports to more than 60 countries worldwide, with particularly strong markets in Southeast Asia, the United States, China, and Europe.
Varisara Phonphaisan, Assistant Vice President of Heritage Snacks & Food, emphasised that winning the PM's Export Award enhances international credibility for the company. The company's commitment to producing healthy, chemical-free, and preservative-free products has resonated with consumers worldwide.
This year, 39 companies were recognised in the 33rd edition of the award. The recognition of Tropicana Oil, Thai Asia Rice Product, and Heritage Snacks & Food underscores the strength and diversity of Thailand's export sector.
